Who we are, in plain terms
Prestige Protected cleans air ducts and dryer vents for homes and small commercial buildings across the North Carolina Triangle. That is the whole business. We are not an HVAC contractor who also cleans ducts on slow weeks, and we do not subcontract the work out to whoever is available. The people who show up at your house are the people we trained, using equipment we own, on a job we quoted after looking at it.
Fourteen years in one trade in one region teaches you the local patterns. Triangle homes have their own version of this problem: heavy spring pollen off mature oaks and pines, humid summers that let settled debris hold moisture, and a housing stock that ranges from 1980s golf-course neighborhoods with original ductwork to subdivisions finished last year with construction dust still sitting in the plenum. Those need different work, and knowing which one you have before the van is loaded is most of the job.

How we work
We look before we price
Phone quotes for duct work are guesses. Two houses with the same square footage can have very different vent counts, air handler arrangements and dryer runs, and the difference is real money. A technician counts the openings, checks the plenum and transitions, looks at the crawlspace or attic insulation, and measures the dryer run. The itemized price comes from that, and you see the photos it is based on before anyone starts.
Source removal, not deodorizing
The EPA is direct about this in its guidance on whether to have your air ducts cleaned: the most effective way to improve indoor air is to remove the source of contamination rather than mask it. That is why we use HEPA-filtered negative-air and agitation equipment that pulls debris out of the system and captures it, instead of blowing it around and spraying scent over the result. The same document is worth reading if you want a neutral second opinion on whether your home needs the service at all.
Photos, because you cannot see inside a duct
You are buying something you physically cannot inspect. Before-and-after photos of the same duct, register and vent termination are the only honest way to show what you paid for. Every job gets them, and you can see a running set in our before and after gallery.
What we will not claim
This industry has a reputation problem, and most of it comes from claims that do not survive a follow-up question. So, for the record: we do not advertise certifications we do not hold, and we are careful with the word “certified” because there is no single government body that licenses duct cleaners in North Carolina. The EPA does not certify duct cleaning companies, and any company implying otherwise is telling you something about itself. We also do not sell duct sealing or ductwork replacement, so when a home needs those, we say so and you take it elsewhere.
We also will not quote a whole-house cleaning for a headline price and then find reasons to grow it on site. If you want to know what that pattern looks like before you call anyone, our write-up on the $99 blow-and-go lays it out, and how to choose a company gives you the questions worth asking. Those pages will help you screen us as easily as anyone else, which is the point.

Frequently asked questions about our company
How long has Prestige Protected been in business?
Fourteen years, all of it in air duct and dryer vent cleaning across the North Carolina Triangle.
Are your technicians employees or subcontractors?
The crew that arrives is our own, trained on our equipment and process. We do not hand jobs off to a third-party crew you have never spoken to.
What equipment do you use?
HEPA-filtered negative-air machines with mechanical agitation, so debris is pulled out of the duct and captured rather than pushed further into the system. Camera inspection is used to check the interior before and after.
Do you give a written, itemized quote?
Yes, itemized, after the inspection, and with the photos it was based on. Nothing starts until you have approved it.
What areas do you serve?
Cary, Raleigh, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Garner, Knightdale, Wake Forest, Rolesville, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding Wake, Durham and Orange County communities. See service areas for the full list.
What is the fastest way to get a real answer about my home?
Call (888) 404-8321 and describe what you are noticing. If a cleaning is not what you need, we will tell you that on the phone.
